Hey, I'm Francesca
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Rome, Italy.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What started as a temporary contract slowly turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn’t in the master plan. As with many international assignments, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much more significant.
The early months were demanding — new processes, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt tougher than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, habits formed. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built MorZinKelatVyn
Most information available online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism material. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something genuine changes
This site isn’t:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to contact me.
